Deanna Moseley: Vocal Instructor, Piano Teacher, Performance Coach & Mentor
Who I am. What I do. Why I do it.
Hello, I’m Deanna Moseley. I’m a piano teacher, vocal coach, musician, singer, keyboardist, mentor, leader and lover of music. I’ve been making and creating music my entire life. I’m a graduate of Millikin University in Decatur Illinois, where I studied commercial music, and received a Bachelor’s Degree. After school, I moved to Nashville, TN. For 13 years, I created vocal demos for local songwriters, and performed as both lead and backup vocalist for several bands as well as various recording artists. I’ve been blessed in my career to have performed for crowds ranging from 1 to 70,000. My experience also includes recording, writing, and arranging music for others and myself.
For the past 15 years I have had the privilege of working with over 300 piano and vocal students, enriching their lives with music, honing their skills, allowing them to study and perform THEIR favorite styles of music. Whether their interest is rock, pop, jazz, country, contemporary Christian, adult contemporary….my vast experience of performing and playing these genres affords me the ability to pass on my knowledge and performance experience. My core principle of teaching music is to allow students to play/sing/perform the music they love.
The 3 Yearly Student Showcases: I offer 3 yearly large venue student concerts – not recitals – these are family friendly free concerts open to the public. I specialize in creating a relaxed environment on a large, potentially intimidating stage. Every piano and vocal student, regardless of skill level, is encouraged and allowed to perform. Vocal students have the option to be backed by a professional band consisting of my personal friends and peers. These concerts are a fun-filled, stress free performance training ground fertile for confidence building and making lifelong memories. My students and their parents best describe the culture of my studio… Read Reviews
